Terms of service

Last updated August 8, 2026. These terms govern your use of Typesheet, operated by Typesheet. Using the service means you accept them.

The service

Typesheet holds typed sheets: you define the fields a row must have, and files sent to that sheet are matched to your fields, checked cell by cell, and merged once they pass. Data reaches a sheet from a file you import, from someone using the sheet's import link, or over the API and connected agents, and leaves as an export or a webhook. We may change, add, or remove features as the product develops.

Your account

You need an account for anything saved. Keep your credentials and API keys secure: activity under your keys is your responsibility. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. One person or organization per account; do not share logins.

Plans and payment

Free is a one-time trial, not a recurring allowance: 1 sheet holding up to 1,000 rows, 0 imports in total of up to 0 rows each, and 0 document pages in total. These do not reset.
Pro is $29 per month: unlimited sheets holding up to 100,000 rows, 500 imports a month of up to 5,000 rows each, 300 document pages a month, and import links.
Business is $199 per month: up to 1,000,000 rows held, 3,000 imports a month of up to 20,000 rows each, and 2,000 document pages a month.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Polar, our merchant of record. Subscriptions renew until canceled, and you can cancel any time from Settings, which stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the period ends. Paid import and document-page quotas reset monthly and do not carry over; free ones do not reset at all. The row ceiling is a standing limit on what a sheet holds, not a monthly allowance. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

Reading a PDF or a screenshot with a model, and fetching a pasted link, also sit under daily ceilings that protect the service from a single account or a loop running up an unbounded bill. They are set well above ordinary use; if you hit one legitimately, write to us and we will raise it.

Refunds are handled case by case: write to hello@typesheet.com. Statutory refund and withdrawal rights, where they apply, are unaffected by this paragraph.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

import, store, or collect data you have no right to hold, or use an import link to gather personal data you could not lawfully ask for directly;
use the service to produce or distribute unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harassing material;
work around plan limits, rate limits, or spend ceilings, whether by rotating accounts, keys, or addresses;
resell raw access to the service, or use it to build a directly competing data import product;
probe, scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the service, with the pages we fetch on your behalf when you paste a link, or with any endpoint you point a sheet's webhook at.

Your content

Your sheets and the rows in them stay yours. You grant Typesheet the limited license needed to host, process, and display that content in order to run the service for you, which includes sending the relevant parts to the processors described in our Privacy policy. We do not use your content to train models.

Data other people send you

When you turn on an import link, you are collecting data from other people through our service. That data is yours to answer for: you decide what to ask for, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for telling your senders what happens to it, and you handle their requests to see, correct, or delete it. We hold it for you and act on your instructions. An import link is an address anyone holding it can post to, so treat it as public and rotate it when that stops being true.

Automated reading

Columns are matched to your fields, and files like PDFs and screenshots are read into rows, by a language model. It can be wrong: a column can be matched to the wrong field, and a value can be misread. Every import shows you what it produced before it merges, and reviewing that is yours to do. We make no claim that a mapping or an extraction is correct, and we are not responsible for what you do with data that passed through a sheet.

Availability

The service is provided as is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment. We depend on third parties, including the model, hosting, database, and billing providers described in the Privacy policy, and their outages become ours.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time by writing to hello@typesheet.com. Export your sheets first: deletion takes the rows with it. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. On closure we delete your content per the Privacy policy.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Typesheet disclaims all implied warranties, and our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and disputes are heard by the courts there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you have mandatory consumer rights in your own country, those still apply.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by updating the date above and, for significant changes, emailing account holders. Continuing to use Typesheet after a change means accepting it.
